
The on-screen character at the focal point of allegations against Geoffrey Rush had a "sorrowful" discussion with a co-star in which she is said to have alluded to "inconvenience" with the Oscar winning performer in the 2015 creation of King Lear.

"I didn't jump to the end it was lewd behavior, she didn't state [it was] unseemly conduct."
Amid his questioning Blackburn more than once put to Nevin that lewd behavior had been made reference to amid the discussion, and that she had said to Norvill: "I thought Geoffrey had quit doing that, poor Jane [Menelaus, Rush's wife]."
Nevin denied saying that.
The court likewise heard that Nevin sent a content to Norvill enquiring about her prosperity on 1 December, soon after the main Telegraph article had been distributed.
"Gracious dear young lady would you say you are OK? … It's terrible, I trust you'll be secured and I'm certain you will be," the content read.
Norvill was not made reference to in the article, and Blackburn fought that the reason Nevin knew she was the complainant made reference to in the article was a result of the prior discussion.
Nevin said she couldn't recall how she realized that Norvill was the complainant.
"I was upset for Ms Norvill in light of the fact that I comprehended what it would intend to have this uncovered to people in general," Nevin said.
She said "no" over and again when inquired as to whether Rush had acted improperly towards Norvill amid the generation.
